Obituary for Richard A. "Ric" Jordan

Richard A. “Ric” Jordan, 54, of LaGrange, IN died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at his home.

On September 30, 1963, in Wabash, IN he was born to Richard C. Jr. and Joan C. (Libey) Jordan.

Ric had a great love for his family and friends and had a nickname for everyone, including his parents. He was always willing to help others and never met a stranger. A great outdoors man, an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved animals and could spot anything a mile away. Ric was a handyman and anything that needed fixed, he could fix it.

He was 1981 graduate of Lakeland High School and currently worked for West Construction in Wolcottville, IN. He was also a member of the Wildlife Federation.

Surviving are his parents, Richard C. Jr. and Joan Jordan of LaGrange, IN; a sister, Judy and Mike Moring of Fort Wayne, IN; three brothers, Mick and Stacy Jordan of Washington, MI, Nic Jordan of Wolcottville, IN, and John Jordan and his girlfriend, Heather Molenhouse and her family; three nieces, Kyla Jordan of Angola, IN, Jami Jordan and Brian Naperkoski of Washington, MI, Jordan Moring and James Vaillancourt of Fort Wayne, IN; a great-nephew, Wyatt Hunter; two aunts, Janine & Tim Rust of Middlebury, IN and Maria H. Libey of Hobart, IN; an uncle, Charles “Bud” Jordan and Frank Prudent of Charleston, SC and many cousins; a good friend, Sandy Ruwe of Wolcottville, IN; and his four legged friend, Waylon.

Ric was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Homer and Nelta Libey; paternal grandparents, Richard, Sr. and Lara Jordan; an Uncle John R. Libey and a brother, John C. Jordan.

A Celebration of Life will take place on April 14, 2018 starting at 1pm at Justamere Farm.

Memorials may be contributed to the Ark Animal Rescue.
