Alpha E. Brandenberger, 56, of LaGrange, died Friday, August 24, 2018 at Parkview Randallia Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN. She was born on September 7, 1961 in Evansville, IN to John Ezra and Alpha D. (Dausman) Banks. Alpha was a homemaker. She was a member of the LaGrange Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and a member of the LaGrange United Methodist Church. She is survived by her mother, Alpha D. Banks of LaGrange, three daughters; April (Jesse) Bailey of LaGrange, Angie (Ben) Link of Auburn, IN and Alicia (Shawn) Fryer of LaGrange, two sons; Jonathon Brandenberger of Angola, IN and Joshua (Ashlee) Brandenberger of Shipshewana, IN, ten grandchildren; a sister; Rebecca (Mark) Brenner of Mt. Vernon, IN, two nieces; Elizabeth Wallace and Kristina Willis, and a nephew, Matthew Brenner. She was preceded in death by her father, John E. Banks. Funeral services for Alpha will be held at 2pm Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 West Michigan St. LaGrange, IN. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11am until service time. The Rev. Chris Lantz and Rev. Andrea Lantz will officiate the service and burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange, IN. Memorial contributions in the memory of Alpha may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
